FAQs

Do I have to have a referral in order to become a patient?

Only if your insurance requires one. Regardless, you must take responsibility for obtaining any previous records from doctors who have treated your condition. We must have these to design an effective treatment plan.

What is PRP, and is it a viable solution for me?

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. Simply put, this form of treatment is taken from your own blood, meaning it is completely natural. To harvest PRP, a small amount of your blood is drawn with a specialized collecting system. From here the blood is placed into a machine (centrifuge) that separates the growth factors (plasma) and platelets. This form of treatment spurs on healing at the source of your pain through use of your own blood, and is generally used in areas of the body that don’t get the same amount of blood flow as others. Based on your situation, we will determine if PRP is an option for you.
