Intravenous (IV) Lidocaine or Ketamine Infusion is a treatment that may be considered for patients suffering from fibromyalgia, neuropathy, or CRPS. The medication used may depend on your condition, as well as additional factors that vary from person to person.
The medication is mixed with saline in an IV bag and slowly infused into your body over a predetermined amount of time. This may be a few hours at a time, stretched out over a few daily sessions for around a week.
The medication delivered via IV will provide pain relief once the final infusion session is complete. Many patients find that the pain relief will last for several months following the last session, though may need to visit us for a booster to lengthen the effects.
