Sadiq Sohani, MD

Dr. Sadiq Sohani is an accomplished physician with over 10 years of experience in the interventional treatment and diagnosis of acute and chronic pain. He is passionate about his work and has become a leader in offering preeminent pain management technology and care to his patients.
After completing his Anesthesiology Residency and Pain fellowship training at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Sohani served on the Vanderbilt faculty as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine for two years before beginning his practice in the Dalton and Chattanooga areas. He also completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Queens Hospital in New York.

Dr. Sohani is the Medical director of CSPM and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He specializes in advanced Interventional Pain management techniques to relieve chronic pain and to restore active and healthy life style for his patients.

I strive to help every patient get back to enjoying life free of pain.

Dr. Sohani continues to be a dedicated compassionate professional, treating me for a serious car accident of several years ago. He and his staff using the most up to date pain relieving methods have truly managed my pain. I am blessed to be under their care.

Peter Fong, MD

Board Certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine & Addiction Medicine

Dr. Peter Fong began his training in General Surgery at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.   Following completion of his surgical internship, his interests lead him to train in Anesthesiology at Richland Memorial Hospital where he stayed on as an Assistant Clinical Professor for the University of South Carolina for a number of years. After practicing Anesthesiology for over 15 years, he decided to further his career and completed an Interventional Pain Fellowship at Specialty Clinics of Georgia.

Dr. Fong has been practicing Interventional Pain for over a decade. He served as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer for National Pain Care before he decided to join CSPM. Dr. Fong’s goal is to help patients regain function to enable them to enjoy a fulfilling and active lifestyle.

Ramya Rangaraj, MD

Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation & Pain Medicine

Ramya N Rangaraj, MD, is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehab and Pain Management. She received her medical degree from Stanley Medical College, India and training in PM&R at William Beaumont Hospital, Michigan. She then completed her Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Georgia Pain Physicians in 2012.

After completing her training, Dr. Rangaraj practiced as an associate physician in pain management at Georgia Pain Physicians since 2012.  She joined Center for Spine and Pain Medicine in 2016.

At Center for Spine and Pain Medicine, her goals are to bring compassionate care, enthusiasm and knowledge to aid in managing pain. She believes strongly in a multidisciplinary approach, utilizing all possible treatment options for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. Dr. Rangaraj understands that no two patients are alike, even if their cases are similar. Good patient care incorporates all aspects of a patient’s needs.

Dr.Rangaraj is married with two young children .When not at work, she enjoys cooking for and traveling with family.

Amit Patel, MD

Board Certified in Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine

Dr. Amit Patel is a Tennessee native and grew up in Chattanooga. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee and medical school at Ross University. He went on to finish his Anesthesia residency training at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University and then completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Michigan. Dr. Patel is board certified in Anesthesiology. During his time in Michigan, he also served as chief house physician for residents and fellows at Beaumont Hospital in Taylor, MI.

Dr. Patel customizes a treatment plan based on a multidisciplinary approach with a goal to allow patients to get back to an active lifestyle they can enjoy. He has special interests in using ultrasound and fluoroscopy for interventional pain procedures. In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling with his wife and son, watching football, and trying out different restaurants and local foods.

Dr. Olubunmi Anibaba, MD, MPH

Board Certified in Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine

Dr. Olubunmi Anibaba completed her medical training at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Ghana. She went on to  Harlem Hospital affiliate of Columbia University Medical Center New York, where she finished her Internal Medicine residency training. She underwent a fellowship training in Pain medicine at National Pain Care Center Georgia.

She joined Center for Spine and Pain Medicine in 2017 and hopes to bring her knowledge to help patients better manage their chronic pain conditions, she believes team work and a multidisciplinary approach as well as thorough patient education will result in patient satisfaction.

She is board certified in Internal Medicine.  She is married with 2 children, and enjoys traveling, reading and watching movies.

Roxana Araujo, FNP-C (Roxy)

Attended Southern Adventist University where she received both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2004 and her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2012. She resides in Chattanooga, TN with her husband Alex and son Gabriel. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Shannon Zundel

Shannon is a nationally certified Physician Assistant. She attended West Virginia University for undergraduate school and earned a degree in Biology. She went on to Philadelphia University to earn her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Shannon has worked in Interventional Pain Management for over 7 years. She enjoys helping people restore their quality of life by setting goals and working with the patient and their families.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, shopping and living an active lifestyle.
